The Philosophy
"We don't get to numb selectively. When we shut down the hard stuff, we lose the wonder too. Sobriety reminds us what that wonder feels like, and teaches us to hold all of it, every emotion, wide open."
Zac Spowart · Nomadic Addictt

"The world is more beautiful when you can actually feel it."

About Zac
I got sober at 21. A lot of people told me my life was over. No more parties, no more travel, no more freedom. They were wrong.
Since then I've crossed 50+ countries, swum with whale sharks in Mexico, freedived in Bali, dove with tiger sharks in the Maldives, and guided countless people through the hardest stretch of their lives. All of it clear-headed. All of it real.
I'm a dual master's level clinician (MA in Addiction Counseling from Hazelden Betty Ford, MBA from Pepperdine) and the founder of Nomadic Addictt. I work as a sober companion, sober coach, and retreat facilitator for people who refuse to believe that sobriety means sitting still.

What People Say
"Zac traveled with me internationally for three weeks to support my long-term recovery. Having someone beside me who genuinely understood, not just clinically but from lived experience, made all the difference. I stayed sober through situations I never could have navigated alone."
Alex M. · Sober Companion Client
"We met daily during my early days when things were at their most intense. There were moments I was sure I was going to use. Zac made me feel safe enough to say that out loud. That trust changed my life. I'm now married, sober, and building a life I never thought was possible."
Kelly G. · Sober Coaching & Crisis Support Client
"I had Zac as my counselor in treatment and honestly, I was angry. At everything. He gave me the space to express that anger and then helped me get in touch with what was underneath it. That was over 15 years ago. I'm still sober. I have a house, a business, and a family. I owe him my life."
